School Visits

Brianne loves talking about writing and illustrating, and she'd love to talk about writing and illustrating at your school, library, or conference. Her 45-min presentations about writing, drawing, and exercising your creative muscles are interactive and include a read-aloud and draw-along. They work best in an auditorium, library, or large classroom.

Another option is small-group workshops, which usually work best in a classroom setting. Workshops allow students a chance to see original illustrations up close and try the art supplies Brianne uses to make her books.

When presenting to adults, she discusses her path to publication, her time working in the publishing industry, and her creative process.

A full day visit includes up to three activities (presentations and/or workshops) and a book signing. If you’re interested in coordinating a school or library visit for Secret Tree Fort or Ike's Incredible Ink, contact Candlewick Press at appearances@candlewick.com, or contact Brianne directly at brianne@briannefarley.com.
